Was Clare Graves beobachtet hat
Why Yellow matters
Yellow is the first stage that understands all the others. It sees: each color is an answer to certain life conditions, and each one is needed. Instead of asking "Who is right?", Yellow asks: "What does this situation need right now?" Sometimes that is rest (Beige), sometimes a clear no (Red), sometimes a rule (Blue).
What there is to learn
Accepting all colors in you, including the ones you would rather skip. Not judging. Being able to move between stages depending on what is needed.
Healthy Yellow
Curiosity, overview and self-responsibility. You connect perspectives instead of playing them off against each other.
Shadow side
Understanding everything only in your head and no longer feeling anything. Distance and know-it-all attitude. And using the colors as labels: "You're just so Green."
What Clare Graves observed
For Graves, Yellow was a big leap, the first level of being. He called all the stages before it levels of subsistence, because they are about safety, recognition and dignity. Whoever arrives here is free of this fear and turns to the world with confidence. They see that all life depends on each other and want to keep it viable. What matters now is quality over quantity, less consumption, responsibility for others and unity with nature. Authority belongs to those who know and can do something, not to those who hold a title. By the way, Graves did not name his stages after colors but after pairs of letters. The colors only came later with Spiral Dynamics.
What comes next
Yellow brings order to the self side. When this turns into a sense of connection with all life, Turquoise begins.

A world where every colour has its place. Yellow sees the pattern behind it all and doesn't need to remove any of it. This is what it sounds like when everything flows together.
