Unsere Vision

Connecting the dots
Was es schon gibt:
A festival that leaves a forest behind
Imagine a meadow that a farmer entrusts to us for a festival. In the centre a stage under a shade sail. The music carries across the whole site, and people dance in front of it. In a circle around it there is room for everything that makes a life good: cooking and eating together, talking, learning, feeling and becoming still. Eight places for the eight questions, in a circle around a centre, just like on this website.
And everywhere, people plant. Fruit trees, shrubs and herbs, in groups that support each other. When the festival is over, what remains is not an empty meadow but a young forest garden. We leave the land better than we found it.

Eight fields, eight years
A few people stay on site. They water, tend, observe and build yurts. The next year the festival moves on to the next field, then to the third, up to the eighth. The fields are not next to each other but spread out, with people in the region who open their land for it.
In the ninth year we return to the first field. The seedlings have become a forest, with a clearing in the middle where people still dance. And perhaps one day this circle around Berlin becomes a circle across Europe.

The tree in the centre stands for Inner Festival Tribe. It is the structure that holds everything together: the eight fields, the people and the vision. It is the same tree as on the home page of this website.
Connecting the dots
I am a musician, and I studied organic agriculture. For a long time I thought these were two different paths. Today I know they are one. It is always about connection, in three circles:
- Connected with yourself. With your feelings, your strengths, your values and wishes.
- Connected with others. Listening, feeling with each other, making music and celebrating together.
- Connected with the earth. Planting, tending, harvesting and leaving something that lasts.
In the end, connection is nothing other than love. That is what Inner Festival Tribe wants to contribute to.
Tools for the community
Eight years is a long time. Whoever tends a field together also experiences arguments, tiredness and moments when someone no longer wants to take part. That is exactly what the tools on this website are for. They help you say what you feel and need, really listen to each other, bring your strengths to where they are needed, and take care of your body before it gets too much. A community grows like a forest: from within.
Where we stand today
The first festival does not exist yet. What already exists:
- This website with its tools, free for everyone.
- Forest gardens I take part in: in the association EzL in Britz and at Beyond Ometepe in Nicaragua. To the projects
- Music and evenings where people already come together today.
The next step is people who carry this idea with us.
This idea belongs to everyone
I do not want to own this vision. I want to pass it on. If someone else makes it real, anywhere in the world, I will be just as happy as if I had done it myself. Take it with you, tell others about it, make something of it.
And if you want to let it grow together with me, because you have land, want to help plan or simply want to be there, write to me: innerfestivaltribe@proton.me
When the inner comes out into the world, the Inner Festival Tribe becomes an Immer (always) Festival Tribe. Until one day we simply are in a Festival Tribe.
