Was Clare Graves beobachtet hat
Orange ist also nichts, wovon man weg muss.
Why Orange matters
With Orange you take your life into your own hands. This often begins when young adults look for their own path: a profession, earning money, standing on their own feet. Orange checks for itself instead of simply believing. We owe science, inventions and prosperity to this stage.
What there is to learn
Setting goals and following through. Knowing and using your strengths. Taking care of yourself with what you can do, and gaining freedom.
Healthy Orange
Entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity and self-responsibility. You shape things instead of waiting.
Shadow side
Elbows out and competition at any cost. Measuring your worth by performance and possessions. Burning out. Seeing nature and people only as means to an end.
What Clare Graves observed
Graves called this stage materialistic existence. People want to understand and shape the world, with reason, science and their own effort. Achievement, competition, equal opportunity and well considered risk count. Graves saw this as the dominant way of life of his time in the USA. He also described the turning point: precisely those who have achieved a lot often feel an inner emptiness. From this emptiness grows the question of community and meaning. So Orange is nothing you have to get away from. It is the strength to bring your gifts into the world, and the preparation for what comes next.
What comes next
Orange uses the discipline of Blue. And when success alone no longer fulfils, the question comes: what is it all for, and with whom? That is Green.

A beat that moves forward. For the moment an idea becomes a path and you start walking.
